You have shed a ray of sunshine into the forum. Tahkns!
G’day guys,
Just wanted to say a big thanks for the camp last week.
I was a teacher on the CGS camp that did the kayaking at Whitehaven and the snorkelling at South Molle.
Think all the boys had a fantastic time (so too did the teachers!)
Hard not too in such an incredible setting….
Food, organisation and the guides were all first class.
I was particularly impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of Macca, Mark, Ginny, and Mick. They were fantastic and good fun to hang out with for a couple of days.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks again and hope to see you up there next year!
Cheers
Michael

Dear Neil and Hayley, I want to express my sincerest thanks and gratitude to your wonderful arrangement of my recent kayak trip together with The Jervis Bay Kayak group. Your guide Tyrell was absolutely fantastic…….. Mature, competent with excellent communication skills…he was just so fantastic and I would class him as the best…most humble man indeed. Everything was so fantastic and I owe him a sincere thank you. We all loved him. Please convey to him my gratitude. I also have a video clip of him near a whale and lots of very memorable pictures. Thank you so very very much!! The food was outstanding. You went to a lot of trouble to make our trip the success that it was . In deep appreciation, thank you. Kindest regards, sidney pohorille…Sidney from South Africa.
Hi Hayley and Neill,
Just a quick note to thank you both for the guided trip 15-19th August run in conjunction with Jervis Bay Kayaks. It was the best holiday I have ever been on without doubt. Tyrell was an exceptional guide and is a real asset to your operation. Thanks again, Derek
Thankyou Guys. Hayley and Neil helped create a wonderful moment and left nothing to chance in organising our special trip for me to propose to my now, lovely wife in the beautiful Whitsunday’s.
Salty Dog. Great boats, Great service, Great location. Great People!
Such an amazing way to visit the Whitsunday Islands, one of the most beautiful places this happy wanderer has enjoyed.. Everything I expected, even the promised whale interaction. Kuddos Haley & Niel & thanks Tyrell.
Aiming for an encore next year. Cherie
Thank you Hayley & Neill, you and your staff Mark & Jenny ensured our families half day tour was a highlight to our fantastic Airlie Beach holiday. We enjoyed it so much we came back and hired kayaks for a day. This only cemented our positive thoughts of your business. The friendly, generous and easy going manner of you and your staff ensured we were perfectly comfortable kayaking with our 2 children for a day on our own. We knew where we could find help if required and felt Mark and Jenny despite taking tours were well aware of where we were and what we were doing. Thank you for 2 fantastic experiences, we will be back. Leanne, David, Baxter & Caitlin.
AWESOME!!! Great job guys. It shows you just how stable that W500 is.Going over trees is all I need to do, since I don’t rock climb. Can’t wait to see more fun.I hope eoevyrne notices, you all are wearing you PFDs . So if you gonna try this at home, be safe, and have fun with your Wave Walk Yaks. The sky’s the limit. Tight lines, and Paddle Safe all.Rox
Hi Hayley and Neil!
We rented kayaks from you in June to kayak around the Whitsundays. The trip was cut short by some bad weather, but you two always went above and beyond to keep us in the loop and make sure we were safe. You were both so helpful and we really appreciated how much you cared! The Whitsundays were so beautiful and kayaking was the best way to explore the islands! We hope to come back some day!
All the best,
Helen and Danny, from Canada
Other than serving us tequila sunrise with little umbrellas, I don’t know how else this half day tour by the Salty Dog Sea Kayaking could have been better. After an 8am pick up and a brief safety review together with an introduction to kayaking, we got into our kayaks and set out for a day of fun cruising around the Whitsunday islands. On our tour we explored mangrove fringed coastline while keeping an eye out for turtles. Water was just beautiful. Mild green hues with just a bit of current. We took a break at the White Rock for a swim and a snorkel followed by a cheese and a fruit platter. Somehow one of the kayaks was not only equipped with snorkel gear, but it also had delicious treats and cool drinks.
Salty Dog Sea Kayaking offers half day, full day and a 6 day tour. We would have absolutely loved the 6 day tour, but with limited time in the Whitsundays Region I would strongly recommend doing the half day tour if that’s all you have time for. The 6 day tour…that would be pretty magical. The Whitsunday Islands are best explored through extended sailing trips or in this case a kayaking tour. What’s great about kayaking is that you glide on the surface of the water, you hear the drops and taste the salty water, and you take a moment to just look around. It forces you to slow down and move only as fast as your body allows you to.
